Born and raised in Lynchburg, VA, with two golf professionals as parents, Bill started playing as soon as he could walk. Bill competed in many VSGA and MAPGA events growing up, won the 46th VSGA Junior Championship, and was named VSGA Junior Golfer of the Year in 1998. Bill still enjoys competitive golf, and most recently qualified for the 2020, 2022, and 2024 PGA Professional Championship. In the 2022 PPC Bill made a hole-in-one on his final hole to narrowly miss the cut--but walked away with a new car!
Prior to joining the team at Glenmore, Bill worked with Golf Digest and Golf Magazine top instructor Jim McLean at his school at Doral. At the Academy, Bill has blended what he has learned from the top teachers in golf to offer a unique style of coaching that helps his students reach their golfing goals. His work hasn’t gone unnoticed as he was named to the most recent Golf Digest “Best in State” teacher list. When not at the golf course Bill enjoys spending time with his wife, two young children, and two dogs.
